What is Ferry?
Welcome to Ferry - the next generation data integration platform for the industrial edge.
Ferry enables operations, IT and data teams in operationally intensive industries - such as manufacturing, energy, oil & gas and pharmaceuticals - to integrate data from factory floors and frontline operations straight into their IT systems.
With this data companies can tackle their most challenging operational problems, reducing costs & improving operational efficiency, such as:
Lowering energy usage - track how machines are being utilised through time to identify opportunities to minimise wasted energy spend
Improving operational efficiency - identify and track unused capacity in your factory floor to optimise production scheduling
Predictive maintenance - identify faults with machinery quickly before they become a bottleneck for production
Remote monitoring - minimise downtime and reduce on-site maintenance costs through secure remote monitoring of devices

What can you use Ferry for?
Ferry is designed to be used by IT teams, data scientists and software, process & automation engineers in industrial companies. Ferry provides a toolkit to help these teams to build custom software applications and data pipelines that they can deploy to industrial equipment & physical hardware.
Users of Ferry can deploy their applications to any hardware, from RaspberryPis to industrial computers. As long as your hardware supports an OS system (any Linux distribution or Windows), you can use Ferry to deploy your applications to it.
Ferry allows companies to leverage the power of edge computing to solve their most critical operational challenges.
Ferry is designed from first-principles to allow companies to keep full control over their data & IP. You can connect your AWS and Azure cloud accounts to your Ferry account. Ferry will auto-provision relevant resources within your cloud account to enable you to build, test & deploy your software applications to your edge devices. All code, builds & deployments are stored and initiated in your own cloud account and never through Ferry’s infrastructure.
What does Ferry provide?
With Ferry, developers can benefit from:
Smart no-code deployment. Quickly & securely deploy your custom software applications and data pipelines to fleets of devices with native integrations to your own AWS or Azure cloud accounts. We support extensive customizability across build & runtime configuration (i.e. build architecture, Docker create options, restart policies etc), deployment types (i.e. scripts, Docker), and provide full visibility into what is running on which device.
Rapid prototyping. Utilize our embedded IDE to write code to build custom software edge applications. Use the Ferry Marketplace with pre-built templates to bootstrap applications quickly. Transition prototypes to production through our streamlined deployment workflows. Integrate Ferry with Github to connect Ferry’s deployment rails with your existing CI/CD workflow.
Real-time monitoring & logs. Easily extract logs and performance data from device fleets for local processing at the edge or to the cloud. Have complete visibility over devices, applications and deployments.
Secure connection & remote access. Easily maintain and debug devices without on-site maintenance teams by using Ferry’s secure remote access capabilities.
